Abstract
본 연구의 목적은 다양한 타입의 치아매니큐어 제품에 대한 효력 및 물리·화학적 특성을 평가하는 것이다. 특성비교를 위해 ‘밝기개선 형(BIT)’, ‘글리터 또는 펄 조절 형(GAT)’ 그리고 ‘색상조절 형(CAT)’ 3종의 치아매니큐어를선정하였다. 치아매니큐어의 밝기개선 효력평가를 위해, 색조가이드와 분광광도계를 이용하여 C4 색조가이드 시편에치아매니큐어를 적용하기 전과 후를 평가하였다. 치아매니큐어의 글리터 또는 펄 조절 효력과 색상조절 효력평가를위해, 치아매니큐어를 커버글라스에 적용 후 1시간과 12시간 증류수 침지 후 육안으로 글리터 또는 펄 조절과 색상조절효력을 관찰하였다. 치아매니큐어의 경화시간은 113 g의 길모어니들을 이용하여 측정하였다. 유지율은 치아매니큐어를커버글라스에 적용하여 증류수에 12시간 동안 침지 후 건조시킨 무게를 측정하여 유지율을 계산하였다. 또한 치아로부터치아매니큐어의 제거용이성을 확인하기 위하여, 자동잇솔질기계 적용 후 이미지분석기를 통해 재료의 잔류 유무를평가하였다. ‘BIT’ 치아매니큐어 그룹은 적용 직후부터 1시간 및 12시간 후 밝기가 증가 및 지속되었다(p<0.05). ‘GAT’과‘CAT’ 치아매니큐어 그룹은 적용 직후부터 1시간 및 12시간 후 글리터 또는 펄 조절 효력과 색상조절 효력이 유지되었다.
경화시간 측정 결과, ‘CAT’ 치아매니큐어 그룹은 다른 타입에 비해 가장 긴 경화시간을 보였다(p<0.05). 유지율은모든 타입의 제품에서 99% 이상을 나타내었고, 실험군 간 유의한 차이가 없었다(p>0.05). 마지막으로, 모든 타입의치아매니큐어는 자동잇솔질기계 적용 후 치아 표면에 잔류된 양상 없이 제거가 용이하였다. 이상의 실험 결과는 소비자의욕구 및 구강 환경에 적합한 치아매니큐어를 선택할 수 있는 기반을 마련하고, 해당 제품의 다양한 발전을 위한 기초자료로활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy, physical and chemical properties of tooth manicure products. Threetypes of tooth manicures (brightness improvement type (BIT), glitter or pearl alteration type (GAT) and color alteration type(CAT)) were selected as test materials. To assess the efficacy for the brightness improvement, the brightness was measuredby shade guide and spectrophotometer before applying the tooth manicure on the C4 shade guide and after the application.
The efficacies of glitter or pearl and color alteration were visually observed after applying the tooth manicure on the coverglass following 1 and 12 hours of application. The setting time was recorded using the 1/4 lb Gilmore needle. The retentionrate was calculated by weight change before and after immersion of tooth manicure applied on the cover glass in distilledwater for 12 hours. Also, the detachability of tooth manicure from the tooth was tested using the cross-brushing machine.
The BIT tooth manicures increased brightness following 1 and 12 hours of tooth manicure applications (p<0.05). The GATand CAT tooth manicures maintained glitter and color alterations, respectively for 1 and 12 hours after the tooth manicureapplications. The CAT tooth manicures showed longer setting time compared to other types (p<0.05). The retention rates wereindicated to be more than 99% in all materials. Finally, the results of the detachability indicated that all of tested tooth manicureswere removed from the tooth surfaces by tooth brushing. The above results would provide useful information for future developmentof related products.
